It's "Aluminum" Spelled Backwards Warren's Kona Muni-mula

A few months ago, I went for a ride with my dad. We were both riding hardtail mountain bikes and we set out exploring Edmonton's river valley. There were some long hills and a few times where we had to stop and take a rest, but it was a good day of ripping though the dirt and riding bikes.

Kona's Muni-Mula was special because it was one of the first bikes that the company produced that was made entirely of aluminum. I think this one is a bit newer than that, but the name stuck.

A nice pair of old Marzocchi Bombers give the front some bounce

Triple Deore ring in the front

And a 8 speed Deore xt in the rear, nicely scuffed

I love the Arch Rival 40 v brakes. The arch across the top ensured more braking power throughout and a more consistent pad contact. These were the shit before discs came around.

Nice knobby Tioga rubber. These are 26 x 2.10 I believe.

A view from the cockpit

It is hard to be able to stay connected with family when everybody lives far away. Going for rides like this and seeing my dad get stoked on bikes makes my day
