We visited Belize in April 2018. This page is a result of that trip. We landed in Belize City and immediately took a flight on a small plane to San Pedro. The views from the plane were amazing.
We spent the afternoon/evening in San Pedro wandering around relaxing. Our first drinks were at Wayo's Bar (https://www.facebook.com/wayos.bar) and our first meal was dinner at El Fogon (http://www.elfogonbelize.com/). The food was traditional Belize cuisine and was delicious. Amanda took the pictures of our meal so I don't have them.
We planned nothing for our second day, so we walked all over San Pedro. We had breakfast at Estelle's by the Sea: banana pancakes, Mayan eggs, and all kinds of delicious bites! During our walk we came across a kid that had three dogs just running along the beach with him. They'd jump into the water and he'd have to grab them and yank them out since there was a drop into the water.
For lunch we had smoothies from Izzy's Smoothie Bar and jerk shrimp and soup from a local place that was basically a kitchen in someone's house. Most of the day was spent relaxing at our VRBO Aqua Vista Beachfront Suites (http://aquavistabelize.com/). Great location, great prices! We also made friends with a stray dog.
For dinner we had very forgettable arepas. In fact, we couldn't even finish them. After dinner we went for the "world famous chicken drop." It was nothing to special either.
Our second full day we took an all day snorkeling trip with Island Dream Tours (http://www.islanddreamtours.com/). They provide a great service and I'd recommend them to anyone! Our first stop was Hol Chan Marine Reserve; second stop was Shark Ray Alley.

Our final full day in Belize we took a trip to Lamanai with Searious Adventures (http://seariousadventuresbelize.com/). Another great company that showed us a wonderful time! The boat ride up the river was as much fun as the actual Mayan ruins!
Some sunrise pictures from the VRBO our last morning before heading home after a short, but great vacation.
