I choose this school because it has a pretty well ranked pre-vet program, and it meets 100% of the financial need that was applied for, and has housing for all of the students. I found it very comforting knowing that if I decide to go here I can get the assistance I need completely covered.

Amherst college students love food.

Whether its a trip to Bub's BBQ for some quality ribs

Or going to get all you can eat wings at Hangars.

Maybe you just want some of Flayvors world famous ice cream.

Or lastly just going strawberry or blueberry picking.

The things that surprised me most about this school is all the drama that is has had in the past from having to remove their mascot for accused racism and then spectulation of teaching assistants sleeping with students to increase enrollment in the Spanish program. Considering how it has the major I want and covers aid it would be a nice school to attend, but I don't feel that it's the school for me. I don't want to go to this school, because it seems too small and like there's not a lot of activities going on on campus for me. Also I'm considering going Greek so the fact that they got rid of their fraternities and sororities is somewhat of a turnoff. I'd recommend someone that likes the ability to be able to know their professors, have a close knit relationship with fellow students and someone who doesn't want a super huge college that they'd feel lost in to go to this school. Personally I think that this school is nice just not for me.
