Using polymer clay, you can make rustic beads that are perfect accents for your shabby chic, assemblage, and collage type jewelry. You can make them in any color to compliment your design, and you can make as many as you need.

Headpins don't have to be dull. They can be creative and unique. Just add some beads and a loop for simple earrings. Or get more creative by using the wire to wrap around other components in your design.

You can made beads with the technique, but I also show how to make components like headpins and connectors.

These small connector beads feature loops that make perfect links in a bracelet.

I love the endless possibilities of color with this technique. You are only limited by your imagination.

Rustic Beads can be made in any color.

Any brand of polymer clay can be used and this technique works particularly well with Souffle. These pictured below are made with Cernit. You can even use air-dry clays such as paper clay.

Now I'm no jewelry maker, but here are some simple pieces that I made with my own Rustic Beads. As you can see, it's a great way of using up the mis-matched and accent beads that we all have in our stash.
