A day in the life of an MSD freshman From the POint of View of Ivy Lam

7:30 a.m. - Walked into school from the car line after being dropped off by my mom. I immediately got my second bag checked by school security. I made a joke about being late to class and they laughed.

7:40 a.m.- My first period was DECA Finance. We got our chapter t-shirts today and they look great! I want to do DECA all throughout high school because it's a really good program that teaches useful life skills.

9:12 a.m.- After first period I met with my friend Ayla Bogart and my band friends Eman Ali, Kyra Jallali, Jia Ying Chen and Jada Lemu before heading to Geography.

9:25 a.m.- I walked into Geography late because I had to stop at the water fountain to fill up my hydroflask. I'm completely exhausted because I stayed up the night before studying for our test next Tuesday.

10:52 a.m. - I left my lunch at home so I borrowed some change from friends. I purchased a chewy granola bar from one of the vending machines.

10:56 a.m.- Math is my favorite subject so I was looking forward to Geometry all day. Today we learned about imaginary numbers and exponents. I got frustrated with some problems but Mr.Taylor always makes me laugh.

12:26 a.m.- My best friend Lily Singer gave me some of her cheese quesadilla that she made in Culinary that day. It was still warm and gooey and I ate almost all of it. Maybe I should leave my lunch at home more often?

Hands down the best cheese Quesadilla I have ever eaten. It was so good, I had to take a close up picture.

1:02 p.m.- Got into a staring contest with my two friends, Sophia Pemble and Payton Yaffe. I won the first round but lost the second. I demanded a rematch but then the bell rang to get to class.

1:10 p.m- Newspaper is my last class of the day. I finished up my story on Key Club planning a prom at Ashton Gardens and helped my Editors-in-Chief with preparation for FSPA.

2:40 p.m.- The bell rang to signify the end of the day. Looking forward to coming back at 7 a.m. tomorrow for FSPA!

3:00 a.m.- I stayed after school today for band practice. I have been playing the clarinet for the past 3 years. It is one of my biggest passions and I love being apart of Eagle Regiment. Today we learned to play a selection from John Williams' Star Wars Suite
