The 2018 Roundtable Breakfast series detailed criteria critical to running a successful business. Topics included a range of subjects from "How to Hire Good Employees" to "How to Obtain a Building Permit".

neighborhood night out Health & Safety Fair

On August 7, 2018 40 businesses participated in Neighborhood Night Out at the Hampton Roads Convention Center. The event is free for all BID businesses to participate. New this year, Coliseum Central hosted a blood drive for the American Red Cross. We are happy to report that 21 units of blood were collected!

Coliseum central holiday parade

The 20th Annual Coliseum Central Holiday Parade Presented by Sentara CarePlex Hospital took place on November 17, 2018. Over 45, 000 attendees lined the street to watch the balloons, bands, animals, and floats parade down Coliseum Drive. The parade was later aired on WTKR NewsChannel3 and WGNT with 24,000 households tuning in to watch.

In 2018 the Coliseum Central Security Committee rolled out the Security Camera matching Grant Program offering business and property owners an opportunity to enhance the safety of their property. Applications are available at coliseumcentral.com.
