Ed-Tech Apps Some apps that I am excited about right now

Adobe Spark

  • You can VERY quickly make image posts, video slideshows, and simple webpages
  • Large library of images and icons
  • Easily manipulate fonts, themes, and images for a "professional" looking project in minutes
  • 13 and up---so primarily 8th grade

Google Expeditions

  • VR experiences across the curriculum
  • Teacher connects students and can monitor/guide students in a virtual tour
  • Uses student devices and VR glasses (we have a class set)
  • Each tour includes content and essential questions related to each location

FlipGrid

  • Shared, secure video recording platform
  • Allows you to hear all students' voices
  • Interfaces seamlessly with Chromebooks, or can use phone app
  • Student Talk--->5D, right?
  • Free and paid options (I have been fine with sharing the free option over all of my classes)

CoSpaces.io

  • Create virtual reality models and worlds
  • Students can design in 3D, then use VR glasses to step into the world/model that they have created
  • Applications across content areas
