Egypt with Nile Cruise October 12 - October 19

OCTOBER 12 - Depart JFK on Air Egypt for an overnight flight to Cairo

OCTOBER 13 - Arrival in Cairo, after customs and immigration, our representatives will meet and greet you, assist with your luggage and transfer you to the Oasis Hotel (or similar 5* hotel) in Cairo. Dinner on your own at hotel. Afternoon half day Egypt city tour including a visit to the Egyptian Museum (entry into the Royal Mummy section is additional fee and can be purchased there) where archaeological pieces dating as far back as 3000 BC are in exhibit followed by a visit to the Bazaar to purchase oils, papyrus, etc.

OCTOBER 14 - Transfer to the airport for a flight to Aswan to join the cruise aboard the cruise boat M/S Crocodile or similar and visit to Abu Simbel* (optional excursion) before returning to Aswan by Air to join the Cruise. Abu Simbel is considered to be one of the most impressive sites in Egypt. Here you will visit the two temples built by Ramses II as a high-architect before he became a Pharaoh. The 100 foot high Great Temple is world famous, which features 4 statues of Ramses II and his wife Queen Nefertari, each 65 foot high. Next to the Great Temple is the temple dedicated to Queen Nefertari. Both temples were originally carved in a mountain. In 1965 they were moved 600 feet and raised 65 feet, thanks to an international project to save them from the flooding caused by the construction of the High Dam. Upon arrival in Aswan Transfer to MS Crocodile or similar (Meals B-D)

OCTOBER 15 - After breakfast a full-day optional cruise shore excursion* in Aswan including a Felucca Sailing on the Nile River and later visiting Temple of Philae, the High Dam, and the Unfinished Obelisk site. In the evening we will sail Kom Ombo for an optional excursion* to the Ancient Site there. Lunch and dinner are aboard the cruise boat. (Meals B-L-D)

OCTOBER 16 - As you have your breakfast we will sail to Edfu. Upon arrival in Edfu, optional cruise shore excursion* visiting the Edfu Temple. Later in the afternoon we will sail to Esna, where boat will dock for overnight. (Meals B-L-D)

OCTOBER 17 - This morning we will cross the locks on the Nile in Esna -providing a fun and small scale canal-crossing experience. We will continue to sail north to Luxor. Optional cruise shore excursion* in Luxor include, Luxor and Karnak Temples and visit to the West Bank of the Nile with Thebes, Valley of Kings (to take pictures you must purchase a pass upon entering), Valley of the Queens and Collossi of Memnon. Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor. (Meals B-L-D)

OCTOBER 18 - Transfer to Luxor airport for flight to Cairo. Upon arrival transfer to the Oasis hotel in Cairo. Enjoy an optional half day Pyrmids and Sphinx (optional tour). Camel ride or buggy ride into desert to visit the Pyramids. Entry into the Great Pyramid not included and can be purchased there. Dinner on your own or you may choose an optional farewell floating dinner on the Nile. (B)

OCTOBER 19 - Transfer to Cairo airport for your flight back home to the U.S. (B)

Included in this tour is the following: Intra-Egypt flights, Hotel in Cairo, 4 night deluxe river cruise on the Nile; Intra Egypt Flights; Nile Cruise Excursions; Full Day Pyramids, Sphinx, Memphis and Sakara; All ground transportation within Egypt; Excursion in Cairo include Egyptian Museum and bazaar, all meals during the cruise, nightly entertainment on the cruise, all local government taxes, English speaking guides.

NOT included: Round trip flights from the United States; Optional Air Tour to Abu Simbel before cruise embarkation $299 pp; Floating Restaurant by the Nile $80 pp; Trip to Pyramids and Sphinx is included BUT....optional camel or buggy ride into the desert is not included ($25 pp) Insurance, Gratuities, Egyptian Visa (upon entering the country). Drinks and wifi on board are not included. Tipping is not included.
