My name is Taylor Burnham. I am a junior at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania studying mass communication with a focus on public relation. In addition to my major, I have a minor in legal studies.
I am an active member of the Bloomsburg University Dance Ensemble. BUDE is the largest student run organization on campus as we have well over one hundred dancers participating each year. I previously was the public relations executive on our board for the 2015-2016 academic year. My junior year I held the vice president position and I am excited to say I have been elected the 2017-2018 president for BUDE. I am also a member of Public Relations Student Society of America. Recently, I was elected to be the vice president for PRSSA at Bloomsburg University.
Last but certainly not least, I am the current spring intern with Children's Miracle Network at Geisinger. My internship focuses on public relations/event planning and fundraising for Janet Weis Children's Hospital. I have always wanted to work in the non-profit section of PR and this internship has been extremely rewarding. It has only strengthened my desire to continue working in the non-profit world. Going to work every day is enjoyable when you can directly see and interact with the children our fundraisers benefit.
