Experience our Faith. At the core of everything we do

Upholding Our Faith

We are a Catholic high school. At the core of the Holy Family Catholic High School experience are Catholic Christian beliefs, values, and traditions.

Knowledge Illuminated by Faith

Holy Family Catholic High School students celebrate their faith through daily prayer, optional daily Mass, monthly all-school Mass, and the Sacrament of Reconciliation during the Christmas and Lenten seasons. They live the Word of God through respectful, caring relationship and service to others.

Dedicated School Chaplain

Holy Family Catholic High School is blessed to have Father Nels Gjengdahl as our full-time chaplain. Father Gjengdahl teaches theology, ministers to the spirituality and faith lives of students and faculty, and presides at all Masses. He is a huge sports fan and can often be found cheering on the Fire! Follow him on social media @hfchschaplain and join him for his daily live prayer sessions.

Our Lasallian Connection

Holy Family Catholic High School upholds the Lasallian philosophy of education to know students by name and to challenge and nurture them according to their strengths and needs. This unique approach is derived from a Catholic teaching method created by St. John Baptist de La Salle and focuses on the Lasallian philosophy of:

  • Excellence in teaching
  • Human Dignity and Respect
  • Faith Reflections and Relationship to Reasoning
  • Ethical Conduct at All Times
  • Social Justice Commitment

We develop Christian leaders.

Our intentional development of leadership skills is woven into everything we do. Our CANVAS, career and personal development program, combines our pillars of faith, integrity, leadership, and faith as students work to create a high school experience rich in those attributes. Local, national, and global service experiences, daily Convocations, and diverse opportunities to initiate and lead pursuits of interests develop leadership skills and provide experiences needed to make their families, workplaces, and world better places.
