WCPS Autumn Term Round up of events from this term

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

We are 75 days into this academic year already and it has definitely been a term of significance for the school and community.

We embarked on the journey back in September knowing that we all wanted WCPS to be the place to be and I really do think the school and community has grown in spirit. There have been some huge positives this term alongside some areas for development. However, I will always say we won’t always get it right the first time but what ever we do has the kids best interests at the heart of our decisions. Thank you to those of you who have been incredibly supportive and don’t forget to come in and talk to us. We can’t make changes if you don’t come in and tell us your thoughts.

Back in September I was very aware what a special place WCPS is however I have really seen the family grow over the last few months and I have realised how amazing our community is. Thank you.

This term has seen us convert to HCAT academy trust and the power this has given us as a school is massive. It has allowed us to work with a number of different professionals and schools with the drive to improve school for our families.

Since joining HCAT we have also had our first formal monitoring since the OFSTED inspection and the opening line, from feedback, that will stick with me is...

The school is unrecognisable from this time last year.

Moving into the new year I am really excited to see where our journey takes us! Newsletters will be published on a monthly basis to ensure you are kept up to date but not bombarded with weekly updates.

We wish you all a merry Christmas and a happy new year!
