A New Year and New Facilities

As we continue renovations in Blair Hall this year, we thought you might like a sneak peek at what's going on behind all that plastic. Our two most visited areas, the Information Desk and the Student Services offices, will soon be moving to their new location, establishing a brand new "front door" to the college. A new entrance will be designed once other construction has been completed.

Student services personnel are packing up and getting ready to move.

Carpet has been installed in the new Student Services area below. Lighting is being installed and painting is in progress. Doors will be hung in the next two weeks.

Those of you in the Gunsmithing, Taxidermy, and Nurse Aide programs will recognize this venue in Blair building's Third Hall below. The ceilings will soon be reinstalled with new lighting and ceiling grid and tiles. The HVAC replacement is 99% complete.

The Career Technical Education Center, below, is very near completion. Final touches are being made and we expect to be able to move classes into the new facility soon.

New steps from MCC to CTE building
Photos above were taken November 13, 2019 and show (starting at top going from left to right): classroom spaces, restroom facilities, second-floor hallways with classroom observation windows, state-of-the-art commercial kitchen, multipurpose labs, front office reception area, office, break area, industrial classroom, main first-floor hallway, nursing labs and auto mechanics lab.

We hope you enjoyed the sneak peek of the Blair Hall renovations and the CTE building completion. We look forward to the fruition of these projects and thank you all for your patience as we work to provide the best facilities and the best possible education for our students.
