FC Barcelona was founded by Joan Gamper, a Swiss football lover, on November 29th, 1899. In 1939 the team was forced to change it's name to Club de Football Barcelona as you can see on the timeline of FC Barcelona's crest's.

FC Barcelona's slogan is "Mes que un Club" which means "More than a club". It's stadium's name is Camp Nou. Camp Nou holds a whopping 99,354 people.

FC Barcelona is the club with the most Ballon d’or winners in the world. Ballon d'or is an award given to the best football player of the year. Lionel Messi having won it five times!
