This is a free 2.5-day online workshop by Adobe during the April 2022 school holidays for Victorian & NSW students (Year 9 - 12) and teachers who are keen to develop their video editing skills with Adobe Premiere Pro .

- Day 1 – Monday April 11 (9.30 AM to 3.30 PM)
- Day 2 – Tuesday April 12 (9.30 AM to 3.30 PM)
- Day 3 – Thursday April 14 1 PM to 3.30 PM (Showcase event)
Teachers must register their students
Registrations close on Thursday 31st March, 2022
Location – This workshop will be run via MS Teams. Reasonable Internet access is required. The MS Teams link will be sent to each teacher who registers.
Presenter – Dr Tim Kitchen (Adobe’s Senior Education Specialist, APAC). Tim has had over 30 years of experience as an educator and video producer.
No prior knowledge of Premiere Pro is required to do this course however access to at least Premiere Pro version 12 (2017) or higher and a computer with the following specs is required:
- - Apple OS 9, 10 or 11 or Windows 10 (64-bit)
- - Minimum 8 GB RAM
Participants will need reasonable Internet access
What will be covered
- - Telling a video story
- - Gathering, managing & importing video, still image & audio assets
- - Simple edits and transitions
- - Mixing audio
- - Applying and adjusting video/audio effects
- - Creating custom graphics and texts
- - Simple animation options
- - Working with third party templates
- - Colour grading
- - Exporting for various outputs
Showcase event
During the Showcase event, participants will be encouraged to share a 1-minute video that they have made with Premiere Pro during the week of the workshops.
Small prizes (drink bottles, stylus/pens, stickers) will be sent to students who submit to the showcase.
Teachers must register their students
