Mount Pisgah Christian School Preschool Half-day February scoop

Dear Parents,

As we enter the second month of the New Year, it feels as though it is already flying by. January saw a few short weeks with many wonderful activities in the Preschool Half day. We enjoyed pajama parties with a special classroom focus on hibernation and polar animals.

Our Annual Fund Challenge was a huge success! I would like to offer my heartfelt gratitude for your participation in our Annual Fund Challenge. Your contributions matter and we are very thankful for your support. We had 8 classes reach 100% participation and overall 96% participation from our PSHD families. Thank you so much!

The month of February at Preschool Half Day hosts several engaging and fun events. Grab your calendar!

Many Blessings!

Big Scoop

Amy Meadows

Mount Pisgah parent Amy Meadows, author of “Emma’s American Chinese New Year,” visited Preschool Half Day! On Feb. 9 and 10, Amy shared a reading and activities with our two- to four-year-olds. Families also had an opportunity to order a copy of Amy’s award-winning book before and after the readings. See some photos of her visit on Feb. 9 below. Re-enrollment

Re-enrollment into our preschool program begins on Feb. 21. Each family will receive a packet with the class choices for the 2017-2018 year as well as a contract. We ask that you prayerfully consider your class options for the next school year and return your packet with the first payment to the lower school office to secure your space.

As a member of our community, your family receives priority enrollment, which allows you to enroll before we offer class spaces to new families. However, many classes fill up quickly, therefore return your enrollment packet as soon as you can. March 3 is the deadline for priority enrollment.

Families that have a rising Kindergarten student will receive enrollment information at the family meetings held with Head of Lower School Deb Knoblock and myself. We look forward to meeting with the parents of each of our four year old students to discuss the assessment process and their child’s next steps. Please stop by the lower school office to sign up for a meeting time.

The third quarter of Stay N Play will begin on Feb. 28. If your child can’t get enough of school and wants to stay and enjoy additional time with their teachers and friends, sign up in the lower school office today. Space is limited.

Mom's Tea

On Feb. 9 and 10, moms visited our Preschool Half Day classrooms for our annual "Mom's Tea" event. A selection of photos are below. More can be found here at Pisgahphotos.com (password: patriots)
