Including all the islands and inlets, the coast of Maine is over 5500 miles long, 20 percent more than the distance from Miami to Anchorage. The Maine coast stretches from the village of Kittery in the southwest to the fishing town of Lubec at the easternmost point, 293 miles as the crow flies. Maine is the largest state in New England and adjoins the huge Gulf of Maine. Join me in this photographic journey along its rocky coast, relieved by beautiful sand beaches and prominent overlooks at Mount Battie and Cadillac Mountain. We'll have a lobster roll at Red's Eats, view the Milky Way from Pemaquid Light, see some iconic Maine coastal birds, watch a windjammer race off Rockland Harbor, and tour some of Maine's famed lighthouses. And much more.
