Florida Southern Men's Basketball has risen to No. 7 in the latest NABC Coaches Poll

[12/19] - Cleary's Career Night Pushes Mocs to Fifth-Straight Win ... Kai Cleary scored a career-high 24 points and Florida Southern College men's basketball picked up its fifth-straight win by closing out its non-conference schedule with a 69-58 win over Bloomfield at Streamline Sale Arena at Jenkins Field House. The No. 10 Moccasins (9-1) led for well over 36 minutes of action to knock off the Bears (4-6) in the first-ever meeting between the schools. Cleary poured in 18 points in the first half alone to help the Mocs to a 41-32 halftime lead, and Southern rolled from there.. - (read more)

Senior forward Slinky Jones was selected as the Sunshine State Conference Men's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week after his two double-doubles helped then 10th-ranked Florida Southern to a pair of wins in the Mocs Christmas Classic. [12/18] - Women's Basketball Cruises Past Yellow Jackets ... Anja Fuchs-Robetin scored a game-high 25 points as Florida Southern College women's basketball raced past Cedarville, 73-42, at Streamline Sale Arena at Jenkins Field House. The No. 17 Moccasins (9-1) overcame a slow start on offense by limiting the Yellow Jackets (9-2) to single digits in both the first and fourth quarters to pick up their sixth-straight win. - (read more)

[12/20] - Fuchs-Robetin Selected as SSC Player of the Week ... For the second time this year and the ninth time in her career, Florida Southern's Anja Fuchs-Robetin has been selected as a Sunshine State Conference Player-of-the-Week. The senior forward from Vienna, Austria led the 17th-ranked Moccasins to a pair of wins in their own Terrace Hotel Classic by averaging 23.5 points and 8.0 rebounds to send them into Christmas Break with a league-best 9-1 overall record. - (read more)

[12/18] - Mocs Wrap Up Spartan Invitational; Men Finish Third, Women Fourth ... WOMEN: Kyra Fraser became Florida Southern's first NCAA provisional qualifier in the backstroke this season, and along with Haley DeGrace gave the Moccasin women a pair of runner-up finishes Tuesday night, as the Spartan Invitational drew to a close with Florida Southern finishing fourth as a team. - (read more) MEN: Matias Lopez and Luka Planinc gave Florida Southern two more top-three finishes, and three other Moccasins hit NCAA provisional qualifying times too as the Moccasins wrapped up the 2018 Spartan Invitational in third place overall. - (read more)

Congrats to former Moccasin men's tennis player, Anthony D'Angelo '18, who was named as the head men's tennis coach at NCAA Division III member Endicott (MA) College earlier this month. Anthony, known during his time at FSC as Tony, spent two seasons as an assistant coach at Wheaton (MA) College before heading to Endicott. - (read more)
