GoFAR believes that robotics provides a compelling platform on which to build STEM education programs. The future success of Maine businesses and industry depends on a strong STEM foundation in local schools.

GoFAR supports robotics programs in Gorham and Falmouth elementary, middle and high schools.

Recent grants we have awarded:

• We funded Gorham FLL Team 1424 All SySTEMs Go's event fees for the Maine FLL Championship event since 2016.
• We provided funds to Falmouth FLL team 12987 The Northern Force and to Gorham FLL Team 1424 All SySTEMs Go for new Lego EV3 Robotics kits.
• We provided funding for NEFIRST's Mini-Bot Challenge live event in 2021.
• We provided funds in support of FIRST Team 172's 2017 trip to China.
• We funded the Falmouth Drone Club's startup costs.
• We provided support for Falmouth High School Senior and Eagle Scout Teddy Lockman's Eagle project. The project consisted of designing, building and installing a Lego Robotics cabinet in Falmouth Elementary School.
• We funded the purchase of an AndyMark Field Perimeter, enabling FRC teams in Southern Maine to practice, collaborate and improve their competition skills.
