We're back! REDBLACKS kick off 2017 season with annual mini-camp

The Ottawa REDBLACKS hit the field at TD Place for the first time in 2017 as rookies and new additions reported for Mini-Camp from April 27-29.

The quaterbacks were all there, too. #1 QB Trevor Harris was, as you might expect, fired up to be back in Ottawa. Joining Harris for Mini-Camp were new QB signings Drew Tate, left, and Ryan Lindley, centre, as well as returnee Brock Jensen.

Receiver Kenny Shaw, below, the former Argo signed by Ottawa on the first day of Free Agency, made his debut at TD Place as a member of the home team.

Fellow former Argos receiver Diontae Spencer, below, was there, too!

Both were big hits with the fans!

Mini-Camp is the first chance for Head Coach Rick Campbell, below, and his staff to evaluate the newest members of RNation. The entire coaching staff from last year's run to the Grey Cup is back in 2017.

Below, Defensive Backs Coach Ike Charleton and Receivers Coach Travis Moore.

Guys like DB Corey Tindal were all smiles...the summer-like weather didn't hurt!

As always, there was plenty of competition at every position. Below, DBs Keelan Johnson and Sherrod Baltimore go head-to-head.

The big boys on the offensive line, below, got in on the action, too.

One-on-ones between offence and defence, below, always prove to be great battles.

The REDBLACKS are back on the field in less than a month with 2017 Training Camp set to get underway May 28. For details and updates, visit OttawaREDBLACKS.com.
