Women & Worship InspIration and resources for womEn Leading teams and worship ministries

There's no way to cover all of the job duties of a worship leader....or the staff supporting the outreach...but we can try!

We are a group of successful worship directors and leaders, recording artists and musicians. Our mission is to stand in the gap for our children, providing them with the best instruction possible in music, but most importantly, we want to give them the spiritual tools to create success in music and in their lives. Success doesn’t necessarily mean fame – it means creating opportunities for ministry in the church through natural development of their talents in the arts.

We want to impart our experiences, encourage our children and create a conduit for them to receive from God during our events as well as cultivate a love for the local church.

Current Workshops:

  • Young Women in Worship

This event will help identify and enhance current worship leaders, musicians, technical personnel and drama participants. The event opens on a Friday evening with a keynote address and Encouragement Activities. Saturday morning opens with a keynote address from the Guest Artists, workshops, rehearsal and a performance/graduation that night. Lunch and a light dinner provided. Performance is at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday night at a local venue. This activity functions as a fund raiser for your church.

Music is the language of the soul!
  • Advice Line

Need advice or how-to’s? Assistance with young musicians provided! Our team of trainers will assist you in researching and applying methods of building teams among young musicians and singers.

How does it work?

Your music director/minister will work with us to identify children who want to participate. We ask the family to a nominal portion of the entrance fee and the church to supply the portion. In this way, we create value for what they are receiving and cover some of our costs. Our sponsors and parent company, GiG Productions, supply materials, instructors and the venue. Behind the Mic is in the process of registering as a 501(c)3 so sponsor donations will be tax deductible by December 2017.

What if you are a small organization/church?

Behind The Mic is looking for smaller organizations and churches with access to adequate facilities in order to build momentum for the larger upcoming events. If you are interested in participating in a smaller event, please contact Tess at tessescotomusic@gmail.com.

A limited amount of scholarships are provided for each event. Inquire at the email listed below.
