Mark Chapman was actually a super fan of The Beatles, but after becoming a born again Christian, he was outraged by John Lennons statement that, "The Beatles are more popular than Jesus." From there, Chapman began to stalk Lennon, eventually catching him before he was home and shooting him dead.
