Michelangelo The renaissaNcE man

Michelangelo was a very special man. He had it all. He was. Renaissance man and an artist. Michelangelo was a very clever man. His childhood was full of disappointments and training. He was rivals with artist and thinker Leonardo da Vinchi.

(Painting of Michelangelo)

Michelangelo had a very irregular type of childhood. Michelangelo was born on March 6, 1775. Sadly, his mother died when he was only six years old. He started to become very interested in art. He began training at 13 years old by Florentine artist, Domenico Ghirlandaio. They trained at the Medici household, where Michelangelo continued to live in for some time.

Michelangelo was always interested in art ever since he was a little kid. He started to get serious with it at around the age of 13. Like I said, he trained with Domenico Ghirlandaio at the Medici household. He also trained with an unknown Florentine sculptor. He was so interested in art that he trained at 15 years old under another sculptor under the Royal family, the Medicis.

Painters Training

One of many Michelangelo's achievements would be the sculpture he created of David. David is such a famous sculpture because it represents the hero from the bible David. David represents leadership and loyalty. David is arguably one of the most impressive sculptures ever created.

Sculpture of David

Another major achievement of Michelangelo's is the sculpture of Pieta. This amazing piece of artwork is famous for a few reasons. One reason is because it is the only known piece of artwork that was signed by Michelangelo himself. Again, this piece of art is religious. It shows Jesus on laying on the lap of his mother, Mary. This piece of art rivals the sculpture of David.

Pieta Sculpture

Lastly, but certainly not the last of his many achievements, the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. The artistic skills to do something amazing and incredible like this is unimaginable to any artists out there. Something like this is a dream of any artist. It took four years for Michelangelo do this. These frescoes are all pictures. Half of the frescoes tell the story of Moses' and the other half shows us the life of Jesus Christ. The Sistine Chapel is now a historical life.

Sistine Chapel Frescoes

Michelangelo, of course, was a fascinating man. He performed art like no one else has. He created such work that is still remembered and admired as of today. The Renaissance Man will with no doubt go down as one of the best artists who ever lived. David, Pieta, and the Sistine Chapel frescoes are just very few of his impressive achievements. Michelangelo has influence and inspired many people in modern society. A man like him will never be forgotten.
