Why Join the Thompson District Accountability Committee (DAC)?

At the start of each school year, many parents are looking for opportunities to get involved in their school community.

DAC represents the local control of each school in the District and is required by Colorado state law.

All parents & community members are invited and encouraged to attend DAC meetings. The input DAC provides to District leadership are based directly upon the feedback collected from parents and community members.

The District Accountability Committee (DAC) meets monthly throughout the year and makes recommendations to the District Board of Education regarding spending district money, charter school applications, improvement plans and parent engagement plans.

DAC values ongoing feedback from each schools Accountability Committee (SAC) and provides information back to the SAC to be shared with each school community.
