Magdalena Carmen Frida Kahlo y Calderón was born on July 6, 1907 in Coyoacán, Mexico and she died July 13, 1954 in Coyoacán, Mexico.

Frida Kahlo became a famous artiest that painted many self portraits. She was also politically active as a communist.

Cultural interaction and power and authority are the eight themes that tie in with Frida Kahlo. For cultural interaction she would put native and religious samples in her paintings. Then for power and authority in 1930 she was politically active as a communist.

The one picture show her house in Coyoacán witch is now called Frida Kahlo Museum. The other picture is one of her famous self portraits.
