I'm pleased to launch my latest collection - a selection of images entitled 'Into The Light' - a black & white study of Lusitano horses in Portugal, at play.

These expressive creatures will run freely in a sand school, moving in and out of the light as the day slips away.

With their long, sweeping manes, gentle waves of tails and exuberant motion, the sight of a Lusitano dancing in front of the camera is breath-taking.

It is hard to reconcile these beautiful, kind creatures with their origins as creatures of war, although their agile and brave nature hint at why they were so important in battle and combat.

One of the oldest breeds of horses, the Lusitano ranks amongst one of my favourite to photograph. So expressive in its actions, the challenge is to be fast enough to capture the speed of movement and the deftness of foot (or should that be 'hoof'?).

One final images before I close ...two's company, as the saying goes. Thank you for being with me for this preview; I hope you've enjoyed it.
