My name is Helene-Marie, and for six weeks, I was an intern in Clearstream’s Customer Service. This was made possible by “Dress for Success” (DFS), an international non-profit organization helping women worldwide find employment. DFS is based in Luxembourg since 2013 and signed a partnership with the national employment office ADEM. Within this partnership, DFS has set up the “work-readiness” program to offer migrant women registered with ADEM the means to facilitate their integration into the Luxembourg working life.
A great opportunity for further professional development
For me, originally from Gabon, it was a great opportunity for further professional development. At first, I was actually quite concerned about my ability to deliver and stand up to Clearstream’s expectations upon my arrival. I was scared of not being accepted by the people I was to work with. Contrary to my concerns, experiencing the openness of all my co-workers, I found myself much at ease in a very nice and pleasant environment that enabled me to focus and perform as expected. I have learned that the working environment at Clearstream is an environment that people can develop and perform to their full potential in.
During my internship in Clearstream’s Customer Service, I got to know many different personalities. I’ll definitely remember everybody’s availability and willingness for help, all the managers’ advice, the professional expertise of all teams and the mutual trust and fun atmosphere among all the people with whom I spent those six weeks.
At the end of my internship
This internship immensely shaped my personal development. I regained self-confidence and on the professional side, I recovered the willingness and determination to move ahead and do better. Thanks to this internship, I realized that I still have my contribution to bring to society and to the marketplace. I have gained the motivation to continue my professional development.
Looking back at my time at Clearstream, I can say for sure that this period has been more than profitable for me, it has been an overwhelming experience!
