Imagine what could happen if we harnessed the energy, insights, and experience of our health center leaders. NACHC Leadership LIVE! participants imagined it and it came to life through “lightning round” (TED Talk style) discussions, key note presentations, peer lead dialogue, and graphic facilitation. The two day networking intensive closed with an impactful presentation about “the cost of doing nothing” upon returning to our homes and our health centers. The stakes have never been higher– this group of health center leadership are prepared to take on the challenges with the support of their new extended leadership team!

To be effective, leaders must have a solid understanding of how their emotions and actions affect the people around them. The better a leader relates to and works with others, the more successful he or she will be. I selected this article because it demonstrates how EI touches every other conversation we had during Leadership LIVE! – core values, communication, accountability, team building, conflict resolution, empathy, etc.

While there are many scholarly articles on the importance of EQ in healthcare, this infographic does a good job summarizing the information into a digestible format (regardless of the plug for the online curriculum).
