North and east from downtown along the edge of the Atlantic ocean is the historic Eastern Shore with its mesmerizing coastal landscapes, historic Acadian villages, fisherman at work throughout the morning, and cold weather surfers dancing on waves.

We will have this area all to yourselves with your local photographer pointing out the favourite spots for snapping pictures and helping you make the most of your camera or device. We will also showcase some of the area's rich history of the through archival images, maps, movies and photographs courtesy of the NS Archives.
We encourage you to take your time throughout the afternoon to absorb the rugged and remote beauty of 'Canada's Ocean Playground'.
A few of the spots we may visit include; the Acadian village of Grand Desert, the locals working at Fisherman's Reserve, Lawrencetown Provincial Park, the beautiful new Flag Pond Municipal Park, the colourful tourist spot of Fisherman's Cove, and a few other hidden gems in between.
