Over half term, we were set the challenge of creating designs based on the Shang Dynasty. Some of us built replica buildings, some of us designed clothing and some of us designed front covers for our Shang Dynasty book.
Here we are with our designs.
Tamar’s pagoda is fab!
Melek built a Shang building similar to what the peasants of the time would have lived in.
We loved Soliana’s clothing designs.
Kathleen designed a front cover for our book...
....so did Peter.
Lacey created a Shang building and designed a kimono suitable for the wife of a Shang Emporer.
Leo and Zilan worked together to create their designs.
Muni also designed a front cover for our book...
...as did Manha.
Mariam’s building design was a feat of engineering with moving parts!
Some of us enjoy reading so much that we even read at break times! This is lovely to see.
At break times, we enjoy taking Willow out too.
Friday marked Children In Need so we came to school in non-uniform and made a donation to support the charity. Some of us wore Pudsey/Blush pyjamas, t-shirts and ears to get in the spirit.
Finally, let’s celebrate our Golden Book pupils and Star of the Week.
These are our Golden Book girls who were in Golden Book for their winning entries in the half term challenge.
Year 5’s Star of the Week was Lacey. She has had a fab week, working extremely hard and with loads of enthusiasm- keep this up Lacey! You have really impressed us. Well done!
