MOMs was one of the first partners for the Equal Exchange almond supply chain. Burroughs Family Farm was pursuing organic certification and MOM's early commitment to this supply chain was integral in making this happen. Less than 1% of the almonds in the US Market are certified organic.

Located in California, the Burroughs Family Farm is at the forefront of organic almond farming. They support their habitat by using sustainable practices including mobile chicken coops, bee farming, and planting native grasses.

Burroughs Family Farm used their Fair Trade premium to build an intricate system to harness the power of solar energy. The irrigation system used on this farm is supported by this and supplies of 80% of the energy needed.
