Doctor Who is a Welsh production made by the BBC. It is a classic science-fiction series with a large fan base. The Doctor is called a "Time Lord," a time-traveling scientist from a far off planet, who travels through time and space in a spaceship known as the TARDIS. The TARDIS is a machine that is larger on the inside than the outside and is supposed to change its appearance based on its surroundings but during the first episode, the disguising circuit broke and it is now stuck in the form of the iconic police telephone box from the 1900s . The Doctor is also able to regenerated, so he appears as many different people throughout the series. The Doctor loves Earth, so he makes many trips here to save the planet, or to collecting companions to help him with tasks in the galaxy. Over the 50 years that it has been running, it has gained many viewers and dedicated fans who on christmas day, at 7 o'clock sit down in front of the television screen to watch the latest episode, as it is has become tradition.
Due to its big fan base, new episodes are always being produced. there are many different spinoffs and movies made. It is filmed all over wales. But luckily is not only viewed in Wales but all over the world. this is one of the many examples of welsh media that is known over the global.
Its success is due to people who have been updating and creating monsters and problem, people who have been filming and writing and producing new episodes. this show becomes apart of people's childhood and you can be apart of that magic by taken media. you don't necessarily have to work on the production of doctor who but the media is a business that is becoming increasingly larger and is always looking for new talent to create the next masterpiece.
