A glimpse into the minds of those who say the Holocaust never happened By Lilliana howell

I bet you're wondering "how do people not believe the holocaust happened?" To some people it's easy to think anyone with common sense should know the holocaust happened. However, there are a good amount of people who deny it ever happened.

During this time, an estimated 6 million Jews were sentenced to death by Hitler

Auschwitz was the main death camp out of the 6 that were created. It has been discovered and the history behind the camp is now known however, parts of the camp were destroyed. The same thing happened with the other camps when they were deserted. The places that were destroyed were places like the gas chambers and the chambers where bodies would be burned. This destroys some of the evidence that backs up what happened in the death camps and "It is these minor inconsistencies, ... that fuel the theories of Holocaust deniers." "Denying History: Who Says the Holocaust Never Happened and Why Do They Say It?" Holocaust Teacher Resource Center. N.p., n.d. Web. 23 Apr. 2017.

Some people claim "the diary of Anne Frank is a forgery." United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, n.d. Web. 23 Apr. 2017.

Holocaust deniers accuse the Jewish people of making it all up. The denial "is generally motivated by hatred of Jews and built on the claim that the Holocaust was invented or exaggerated by Jews as part of a plot to advance Jewish interests." United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, n.d. Web. 23 Apr. 2017.

"For generations, the leaders of so-called Muslim countries have been spoon-feeding their populations a constant diet of propaganda similar to the one that generations of Germans (and other Europeans) were fed — that Jews are vermin and should be dealt with as such." "Why They Deny the Holocaust." Los Angeles Times. Los Angeles Times, n.d. Web. 23 Apr. 2017.

Although it may seem like many people are actively denying the existence of the holocaust, the reason behind it may be that they weren't told about it. "For the majority of Muslims in the world, the Holocaust is not a major historical event that they deny. We simply do not know it ever happened because we were never informed of it." "Why They Deny the Holocaust." Los Angeles Times. Los Angeles Times, n.d. Web. 23 Apr. 2017. Not everyone is being taught about the tragedy that was the holocaust. Since they don't know about it, they don't think it exists which makes it seem as if they are denying it on purpose.

It's as if people are still wanting to follow Hitler and his ways/ teachings.

Now the question is, are the people who are actively denying the existence of the holocaust not teaching their children or anyone else about it so they seem like they are denying it too?
