Ben Luca's Stock Market Project

Stage 1

The difference between stocks and shares is that stocks generally is an ownership for any company therefore shares is an ownership for a particular company that you choose. A dividend in stocks is a kind of payment options performed from corporations or shareholders. Some of the major stock markets are NASDAQ from the USA, London Stock Exchange Group and Japan Exchange Group – Tokyo. A ticker symbol is an abbreviation used to uniquely identify publicly traded shares of a particular stock on a particular stock market.

A mutual fund is an investment programme funded by shareholders that trades in diversified holdings and is professionally managed. Supply and demand are the amount of a commodity, product, or service available and the desire of buyers for it, considered as factors regulating its price. It affects the market in a way that the stock brokers can know exactly what the buyers want and to see the amount of products on the market . The pros and cons of investing in a stock market. Pro- if you're lucky and smart you can earn a lot of money easily. Con- theirs a high risk in the investment and you can lose very easily

The stocks I invested in at the beginning were Tesla, Adidas and Volvo. I bought these stocks because they were companies that I knew and that were good to invest in. The companies did good at the beginning but as time proceeded their value decreased and I lost a lot of money.

The companies that did the best in my portfolio were Tesla. Tesla was a stock that a bought at the very beginning and it was very successful for me. Until October 5 I floated around rank 7-11. After that my stock all went negative and lost a lot of money. The reason for this was that Tesla was reaching it’s peak and I didn’t sell it in time. When it dropped it dropped by a lot making the lose of money a lot bigger.

If I were to redo this project I would change a lot of things. 1st thing I would change would be changing would be my daily check. I would check everyday to be right on track to sell my stock at their highest peak. I would also invest into some less into higher class risk levels to be sure that I am gaining money. I would still invest into some that are a little bit higher class risk level but keep it would still keep it even. Stocks I would buy now would be airlines. Airlines because many of them are high in value and are on a lower risk level. They are also easy to track and find out their peak. Overall I have learned that when dealing with stocks, daily attention is needed and a daily check. If you do not check everyday then you might miss the dropping day and lose all your money. Also would regularly check on what companies are successful at the moment and which small companies have potential and will grow into massive investment stocks.
