One School, One Book

Riding Freedom

We are really enjoying sharing the story of Charlotte with all our Leonard families! The children are enthusiastic about talking about the book with their classmates and teachers across the building. It is so rewarding to see our entire school connected by this remarkable story of one young girl. Mrs. Haboush has made this so memorable for the students - we have another fun surprise scheduled for Tuesday morning! Be sure to ask your kids about it tomorrow when they come home from school. The schedule for the remaining chapters is below:

Read Aloud chapters 5 & 6 – November 1-6

Read Aloud chapters 7 & 8 – November 6-11

School Wide Celebration – week of November 11

Student Council Update - by Leah

On October 17th, Leonard’s Student Council got together for the second time. Here they talked about all of the ways they can be role models for other Leonard students. They also thought about how to elect what we should do for spirit week. It just so works out that right now is around the time that city elections are being held, so it ties right into the “election” theme. The goal of spirit week is to bring the school together, and have a great time. Who knows how spirit week is going to turn out, but all we know is that it is going to be good. Look for voting to happen November 5th.
