Location

Guam is located in the Western Pacific ocean. It is an unincorporated and organized territory of the United States.

Capital

The capital of Guam is Hagatna.

Major Cities

Guam does not have any major "cities" because it is a small Pacific island. However, the most populous city is Dededo with around 45,000 people.

Climate

Guam has a tropical marine climate, moderated by seasonal easterly trade winds. The weather is generally very warm with little seasonal temperature variation. The mean high temperature is 86 F and mean low is 76 F with an average annual rainfall of 96 inches.

Typical Plant Life

Guam is home to thousands of flower species typically found in the tropics. Some of the most popular are the plumeria, hibiscus, cup-of-gold, and dozens of beautiful orchids.

Animal Life

Guam has a huge variety of animal life. A few examples include many species of birds, mammals, reptiles, etc.

The population of Guam is 165,124.

Guam's major agriculture products include: fruits, copra, vegetables, eggs, pork, poultry, beef, and many more.

Guam's natural resources are aquatic wildlife and fishing. They also have minerals, petroleum, hydropower, and other things.

The main industry in Guam is tourism. This is not surprising, considering that it is a beautiful Pacific island.

People first came to the island about as early as 2000 BC. They were the descendants of Austronesian people, which later evolved into the Chamorro people.

The culture of Guam reflects traditional Chamorro customs as well as American, Filipino, Spanish, and Mexican traditions.

Tourist Attractions

One of the main tourist attractions on the island of Guam is the beautiful beaches. It also has many other things to offer.

Underwater World Guam

This is one of the longest tunnel-aquariums in the world and the only oceanarium in the territory of Guam.

Ritidian Point

Ritidian Point is the northernmost point on the island of Guam. It is owned by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Most people would agree that this is one of the most beautiful beaches on the island.
