Food Truck Friday

A big thank you to all the families that joined us for Food Truck Friday. It was a great night with beautiful weather, delicious food, and good company. We hope to do it again.

Veteran's Day Program

MATH PENTATHLON COACHES ARE STILL NEEDED

Without these positions filled we will not be able to run this program so please consider volunteering if your child is interested in participating in math pentathlon.

It is time to begin planning for math pentathlon this year. We will need coaches for Division 2 (2nd and 3rd grade) and Division 3 (4th and 5th grade) as well as an administrator for the program. If you have questions regarding this volunteer opportunity please contact Lisa Dillon at lmperez22@hotmail.com

Carmel Arts Council Winter Art Contest

WINTER ART SCENE

Please see this the attached flyer for information on the Carmel Arts Council Winter Art Contest. All artwork is due to Mrs. Bannister by Tuesday, November 20th.

EYE EXAM VOLUNTEERS NEEDED ON OCTOBER 9th

Ms. Shelli Stone, the School Nurse, needs 2 more volunteers to help out on Eye Exam Day.

1st, 3rd, and 5th graders will have their eyes tested on Wednesday, October 9th. If your child wears glasses or contacts, please make sure that they have them for the vision screening.

Parent Volunteers will direct students to the exams and provide general assistance. If you are interested/available please click the button below to sign up! Thank you to the PTO volunteers and Zionsville Lions' Club for helping us each year to make this a very smooth process.

Fall Class Parties

Wednesday, October 10th

There are still volunteer spots available for the Fall Class Parties on October 10th. Please remember that to volunteer you need to have a current background check on file with the school. Just click on the button below to sign up to help in your child's classroom! First grade parties are from 12:30 - 1:15pm. All other grades are from 1:30 - 2:15pm. Please help us by parking legally -- avoid the bus parking lot, the fire lane and the carpool lane.

WALK TO SCHOOL DAY OCTOBER 10TH

It's International Walk to School Day! Parents and students can walk together with a purpose - to promote health, safety, physical activity, and concern for the environment. An officer will be stationed at the 126th street entrance to help with traffic. Please wait out front of the school until the bell rings. If you plan to walk home from school, please make sure your dismissal is set for walk/carpool.

FALL BOX TOPS CONTEST!!

CONTEST ENDS OCTOBER 19TH

OCTOBER 25th, 7pm - 9pm

The PTO will be hosting an informal get together for parents from 7:00 to 9:00pm on October 25th. It will be a chance to connect with other parents and socialize. So, mark your calendars! More information to follow.

CCS Is Hiring in Food & Nutritional Services!

Carmel Clay Food & Nutritional Services is hiring Food Service staff to work in our school cafeterias. Currently, we have several 4-6 hour positions available, paying $12.97/hour. Hamilton County Kids Coats Drive

The coat drive ends Wednesday, October 9th. Please consider donating your children's outgrown coats, boots, hats, and mittens to help others stay warm this winter. Sizes from infant through 6XL are needed. There is a box for drop off in the school lobby. THANK YOU!!

Carmel Education Foundations 10th Annual Ghost & Goblins Run

The Carmel Education Foundation invites you to the 10th Annual Ghost and Goblins 2K and 5K Walk/Run!

This awesome family fun event will take place on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 9:00 a.m.

Proceeds from the event will help support the CCS teacher grant program. To date, more than $360,000 has been raised to support our outstanding educators of CCS!

WCE had 2 winners out of over 3,000 entries. Congrats to Ira (4th) and Heidi (1st)

Our awesome 5th grade teachers dressed in their scuba gear as their students dove into their social studies unit.

Thank you to Mrs. Butz's & Mr. McCreary's classroom for helping to create this fabulous bulletin board and send such a positive message to our school.
