2017 Senior Night MEMPHIS 57, TULANE 56

Memphis recognized its seniors, Loysha Morris & Taylor Williams, prior to tip-off against Tulane.

Williams was joined by her parents, Carlos and Dena. She will finish her Memphis career with over 700 points, 350 rebounds and 150 assists.

Morris was joined by her mother, Kerrol. She competed for the Tigers for two seasons and will finish with over 260 points, 110 rebounds, and 85 steals.

Cheyenne Creighton and Morris, both natives of Canada, have known each other prior to their time at Memphis.

Williams had a Senior Night to remember, scoring a team-high 19 points.

With 20.8 seconds remaining in the game, Williams hit the game-winning three-pointer. She also hit the game-winning three at Tulane earlier this season.

Morris scored four points, including the first two points of the game, and pulled down five rebounds for the Tigers.

Morris also contributed three steals for the Tigers in 36 minutes of action.

Breigha Wilder-Cochran led the Tigers with five steals against Tulane in 24 minutes of action. This was the third time this season she had five steals in a game.

Wilder-Cochran also added eight points in the victory.

Cheyenne Creighton had 18 points with six rebounds for the Tigers.

Creighton also made six of her seven free throws in the game to help lead the Tigers at the line.

Brea Elmore led the Tigers with seven rebounds against Tulane.

Elmore hit a three-pointer in the second quarter, making that 21-straight games with a made three.

Memphis finished the home schedule with an 11-5 overall record.

This season, the Tigers were 7-1 in games decided by five or fewer points. In the last two years, that record is 14-1.

Memphis will now go to the American Athletic Conference Championship as the No. 8 seed, playing No. 9 Tulsa at 3:00 p.m. CT Friday afternoon at the Mohegan Sun Arena.
