The Great Depression was in 1929 through 1939 this was the longest-lasting economic downturn in history the Great Depression started soon after the stock market crash in October 1929.

13-15 million people were jobless, almost half of the USA's bank were unsuccessful, many people killed themselfs for the lack of unemployment and for food people depended soup kitchen for meals
