Marvel the 20th anniversary reunion

Dear subscriber,

How are you? Good? It's been another busy old month in Marvel-land with rehearsals, preparing for the ticket sales, reconnecting with old mates on social media and basically whipping ourselves up into a swirl of excitement as we announce ...

... tickets are now on sale for our reunion gig at the Market Tavern, Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire, on Saturday, 21st October 2017.

You can get them from our website by clicking the button below. We'd love it if you could share the news and the link with your friends if they fancy taking a trip down memory lane to see your old musical mates take to the stage. All proceeds will be donated to the Forever Stars charity.

It was 20 years ago today...

Cast your mind back to March 8th 1997. The Spice Girls had just scored a number one hit in the US with Wannabe, John Major is still Prime Minister, Paul McCartney was knighted and ...

... Marvel took to the stage for their first-ever public performance at the Crown in Asfordby, courtesy of some of Jim's village contacts.

Our first appearance in the Melton Times

After months of midnight practices at Lloyd's house (thank you for your ever-present patience and support Lloyd's parents), Marvel were ready to go live.

It was such a momentous occasion that Marvel frontman Matt Cullingworth has written a nostalgic blog about that experience and the formation of Marvel.

As always, because you are one of our favourites (cos you subscribed), here's a little exclusive for you. A performance of Sometime in the Wilderness recorded live at London's West One Four back in 2000.

See you soon...
