Volunteer to Keep Our Highway Clean

Lead From the Back:

by Dave Stauffer

My annual president's report was delivered at our Annual Meeting on February 15, 2020, during our Annual Membership meeting held at Media Heights Golf Club in Lancaster.

Of special note are the President's awards which are based on outstanding service to the Lancaster Bicycle Club. This year's honorees are listed below

Outgoing board members were thanked for their service: Kaye Mede (treasurer), Tami Howse (member at large), and Ken Ken Juengling, vice president. Continuing board members were recognized for their service.

Our club thrives on volunteers. Thank you for all that you do. This volunteerism extends beyond our club to the community. LBC is recognized as creating and promoting a cycling footprint in Lancaster County.

HIghlights from my report are featured in this month's Pedaler issue, and my entire report is available to read and is located in the final pages of this Pedaler edition.

See you on the road, Dave

Through the efforts of LBC member, John Mullineaux, and his committee, 17 organizations within Lancaster county have been selected to receive separate grants totaling over $44,000. The recipients are listed in the table below, and future issues of the Pedaler will feature photos of those selected.

Shown below is the "Goat Path" trail that needs approval to be paved and/or covered with gravel.

Riders continue to take to the trails during the winter months with many of them led by Richard Connor or Sharon Cargill. Shown above are members who rode on National Ice Cream for Breakfast Day.

LBC Board members take turns on the podium to highlight events and accomplishments from 2019. Shown above from left to right: Diane Falkowski, secretary; Rich Brown, ride coordinator and newly elected vice-president; John Mullineaux, safety/community outreach director, and Dave Stauffer, president.
