December at Minet

As ever our Winter Fair was a great success - thank you so much for your support. It was lovely to see so many of you waiting to enter!

All the classes had made a selection of Christmas gifts and they were eagerly purchased by the crowd. Everything sold out!

We had festive Mehndi and lots of activities such as Ball Skills, Lucky dip and Pin the nose on Rudolph.

We were so pleased to see you all enjoying the activities even if the queue for Santa was longer than expected!

The face painting was as popular as ever!

A special thank you goes to our raffle prize sponsors: CP Soccer School, Botwell Leisure Centre and Airport Bowl.

The Nursery children did an amazing job performing in front of their families during their Christmas concert. They excelled in confidence as they sang and danced to many festive songs.

Well done to everyone in Nursery!

Our Reception children did a magical performance of 'Christmas Counts' to their friends, families and teachers. Each child showed enthusiasm to learn their part during our rehearsals and then performed fantastically on the day!

The Year 2 children worked really hard to put together their performance for Christmas and they performed like superstars! They made everyone proud and put on a fantastic show. 'Whoops a Daisy Angel' included lively and amusing songs - Year 2 have developed their singing talents over the years and it was a pleasure to hear them. The show also included dancing and percussionists - showcasing a highly talented year group!

The whole school were entertained by the Image Theatre Company who performed the story of Robin Hood. The children had a wonderful time joining in with the singing and actions. Some of them even got to dress up and became actors in the show!

Year 1 have been visiting ST. ANSELM'S PARISH CHURCH in HAYES TOWN where they met Father Geoffrey. It was a lovely opportunity to look at the features of a church, including the amazing stained glass windows. Father Geoffrey noted the spectacular behaviour of our children and how they are 'a credit' to our school. Well done Year 1!

The Choir brought their magical festive cheer to the residents at Triscott House and then to the public at Sainsburys. Both performances were of a very high standard and we had lots of comments from our audiences praising the tuneful and confident quality of our Choir.
