I'd like to take a moment to share a little bit of self reflection. I have found through my experience that the three most fundamental traits one must achieve in life are: Identity, Direction, and perspective. My journey of personal growth has been to foster and improve of those exact traits. Along the way I have come to discover myself in a deeper way and have develop a deeper understanding of the world around me. Herein lies my brand narrative:
I'm a travel enthusiast at heart. I find that travel in particular feeds the Perspective aspect of life far more than almost anything else.
"Travel and change of place impart new vigor on the mind" - L. Seneca
There is something so powerful about stepping off a plane in a foreign land and breathing in the new air for the first time. So far I've only been to three foreign countries (plus Hawaii), and I've driven across the country about six times. The idea of travel and the perspective it brings is a fundamental aspect in shaping the culture and direction of my brand.
One of the primary hobbies of choice for me is Rock Climbing along with the entire culture that it involves. The culture of rock climbing is one of adventure and risk, but simultaneously about genuinity and community.
"Only the curious have, if they live, a take worth telling at all"
I officially got into climbing my freshman year of college when I began the job I currently hold as an employee of the Liberty University Rock Wall. Since then I have adopted its culture for myself, and elements of it often show through in my personal brand.
I have always been a deep thinker, ever since I was a kid. I would analyze (and often even over analyze) most situations. My mind has always naturally gravitated toward reasoning with a philosophical mindset. It was not until I took my first Philosophy class in College that I truly realized this. Ever since, it has become a crucial part of who I am as a thinker.
