About the Program

Walk the streets of literary Dublin as you drink in its rich heritage and culture on this summer study abroad program. Follow in the footsteps of two of James Joyce's most well-known characters—Stephen Dedalus and Leopold Bloom. Stop for a Bloomian glass of burgundy and gorgonzola sandwich at Davy Byrne's, a pub immortalized in Ulysses that remains open today. This program will explore literature and Irish culture in Dublin, Ireland while we engage with the community through work on reading and literacy.

Why I Studied Abroad

"Studying abroad brought me my best college experiences. I studied abroad to London in Spring 2015 and to Dublin in Summer 2016. Not only did both of these journeys allow me to study in different countries and travel throughout Europe, but they also introduced me to lifelong friends, influenced my career path, and ignited a passion for exploring and learning about diverse cultures. Studying abroad in college is one of the cheapest ways to travel and there are scholarship opportunities available. I found a way to study abroad twice; if you want to travel and study abroad, you can do it."
