YIKES ..... My Baby is Older than 14 days ....NOW WHAT?!
You will hear photographer’s stress newborn sessions need to take place within the first two weeks. It is true, sometimes the age of the baby can make a huge difference. Yes, babies within the first two weeks are generally squishier, passed the cluster feeding phase and are still very sleepy.
Babies one to two months of age are usually more aware of their surroundings and normally just want to feel secure by being snuggled or wrapped up. Some older babies might also want to eat more as they may have reached a little growth spurt.
By incorporating different prop setups and wrapping styles ..... we can still capture a beautiful gallery.
We might not manage to capture sleepy shots .... and that's OK!
Babies have such amazing eyes!! I also love to capture all their little details too as they will have already grown so much within the first few weeks. Every baby is different! I have done newborn sessions for babies up to 3 months so please don’t think it is too late to capture those memories.
Life is unpredictable ..... And that's OK
Maybe your baby had to spend some time in the neonatal unit ....
Maybe there were some unexpected complications during delivery....
Maybe your pregnancy was such a whirl wind that you totally blanked out on booking your newborn session?
We have all had curve balls thrown at us at some point ...... and that's OK
I am here for here for you!
We will embrace the moment together capturing amazing memories of your fresh little one for you to look back on for years to come.
