10th Annual River Cleanup

Saturday, August 5

  • Check-in: 7:30 A.M. Briggs Woods Shelter #1
  • T-shirts: Free t-shirts to first 50 registered
  • Route: Riverside Park to Briggs Woods
  • Duration: Up to 5 hours on the river
  • Food: Lunch is provided
  • Shuttle: Services provided
  • Canoes: Available on a first come, first serve basis

  • Non-river volunteer positions available

RULES

  • Parent must sign waiver and medical information form for youth under 18 years of age.
  • Children 14-15 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Due to strenuous activity - Not recommended for children 13 and younger.
  • All volunteers must abide by Iowa Boating Laws set forth by the Department of Natural Resources.
  • Alcohol consumption while participating in this even is not allowed.

WHAT TO BRING?

  • Work gloves, garden trowel or small shovel, sunscreen, snacks, insect repellent and head covering.
  • A clean set of clothes and shoes to change into.
  • Old tennis shoes, or boots, are suggested. Open toe shoes are not recommended.
