Equal Exchange avocados are fair trade and organic, grown by small farmer cooperatives in the volcanic soil of Michoacán, Mexico. Farmers use a diversity of planting techniques, employ unique solutions to mitigate erosion, and use combinations of organic inputs specific to the soil needs of each individual grove. EE avocado co-ops use their premiums to support music programs for children, elder care, and reforestation.

Equal Exchange avocado farmers in Mexico run a women’s beekeeping group to support the local bee populations.
