Fall Focus The fall semester in review

We were so excited to welcome everyone back on campus for the first day of school!
All of the new faces at Bishop's - including Head of School Ron Kim - were welcomed to the community with the annual Matriculation and the official Installation of Ron Kim as the 12th head of The Bishop's School. New students signed “The Great Book” in St. Mary’s Chapel and received a matriculation pin.
Middle school students celebrated the start of the school year with a pool party. Even Head of School Ron Kim joined in on the fun!

The community celebrated the beginning of the school year with ASBC and Knights Booster Group at the Blast-Off Cookout!

Bish Bowl is a spirit day for our whole community! A fun-filled afternoon with a BBQ, music and activities, the community showed its school spirit at girls' volleyball, field hockey and football games.

A multitude of dogs, along with a few rabbits, turtles, cats and snakes spent time on the Quad with their human friends in tow for the annual Blessing of the Animals.

Halloween brought out our students' creativity!

Grandparents’ Day was such a wonderful way to welcome Thanksgiving break!

Carrie Hessler-Radelet, president and CEO of Project Concern International and the former head of the Peace Corps, was the fall Endowed Leadership Lecture Series speaker. Her message centered on how one need not travel the world to make a difference; anyone can make a difference wherever they are, right now.
The community was moved tremendously by Azim Khamisa, who was this year's Woltman Lecture Series speaker. His talk, “The Journey of Forgiveness: Destination Peace,” showed the community how to be free of guilt and anger to enter the pathway of peace using the same three steps he used to forgive the murderer of his son.

One of our favorite events of the year, we love celebrating the holiday season with our Christmas Tree Lighting! This year, we enjoyed delicious treats, seasonal music and a visit from Santa.

We wish you the happiest of holidays, and we're looking forward to what 2020 brings!
