  • The reason is simple Carthage broke its peace treaty with Rome by attacking the neighboring state Numidia. Then Rome sent an army down to South Africa and that was the start of The Third Punic War

  • The war was in 149 B.C. - 146 B.C. The war was between the Roman Republic and the Phoenician colony of Carthage.
