The slop of a line

The slope of a line is the ratio of the vertical rise to the horizontal run between any two points on the line

Rise-move from a lower position to and higher one. Run- how far a line goes along for a given distance. Slope- is a measure of steepness of an line

  • Slope= rise over run
  • 4-2 = rise
  • 8-3= run
  • 2/5

1)2/4+1/2= 3/6

2) 3/7+7/3=0

3) 4/1+ 5/2=1/1
