From this he was able to network with people that wanted to buy his work. He got the opportunity to create a window display which he used to launch himself into selling more of his work. After getting the chance to sell his illustrations he decided that he needed to refine his skills and style, he said that he used his favourite artists and illustrators to refine his style. In 2009 he got help from Cultural Enterprise Office to become self-employed (though not fulltime), he later become fulltime self-employed in 2012.
